Production planning and manufacturing execution is based on the concept of manufacturing lots. A manufacturing lot is nothing much more than just an instruction to produce certain amount of certain product at some work center known by the system. This simple concept is actually a powerful tool allowing production planners to plan and organize production in an intuitive and natural fashion and the MesPal software to work its magic silently behind the scenes.

Creating Manufacturing Lots

• Select work center or a nailing machine
• Select parts feeding route
• Predicting product selection
• Add comment
• Add customer or internal order number

Managing Manufacturing Lots

• Create and remove planned manufacturing lots
• List view of planned lots
• Change any information related to a manufacturing lot at any time
• Comment manufacturing lots
• Stack aware re-organizing of the list of planned lots
• Move planned lot into the manufacturing queue
• Move a lot in manufacturing queue back to planning view

Planning Product Stacking

• Split manufacturing lot to multiple stacks
• Combine multiple manufacturing lots to a single stack
• Edit stacking information
• Determine product positioning in the stack (nesting on/off)
• Determine product orientation in the stack (turn selections)

Planning Parts Handling

• Generate parts list for single manufacturing lot
